Posted on December 30 2015
With the new year just a sunset away, comes two new shades from the purveyors of all things colour; PANTONE. Rose Quartz and Serenity are slated to be thee it colors for 2016; and already, we've seen a bevy of the top brands rolling out everything from shoes, dresses, handbags, and even furniture in these harmonious hues.
These soothing, and soft colors convey almost zen-like feelings, and remind us of a sinking Key West sunset. Rose Quartz-- with it's softness, and compassion; and Serenity-- with it's light and airy-like tone, reminiscent of a clear blue Miami sky makes us relaxed even in these most tumultuous of times.
Certain colors have been associated with increased blood pressure, hunger, increased metabolism, and eyestrain.
Much of the evidence in this emerging area is anecdotal at best, but researchers and experts have made a few important discoveries and observations about the psychology of color and the effect it has on moods, feelings, and behaviors.
